Content management or the ability to upload pictures, update text, and add
web pages was a function that was handled by professional webmasters or people
who learned HTML. Today, more people want a content management system
(CMS).
A content management system allows any person within a company or business
resource to login into the web site and input changes via a series of secure
screens. Most CMS systems because they are based on databases are slow to
retrieve or update web pages. Most systems also limit the web page design
because of the specific database queries used to retrieve the information for
display. |
